WHAT IS Y.A.N.A.?

You Are Not Alone is a personal reassurance program designed to provide daily contact to individuals with limited family or community interaction.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS

MUST be a resident of California City

MUST complete an enrollment application

(available at the California City Police Department)

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS

A California City Police Department dispatcher will call you daily at a predetermind time.

If you do not respond to the telephone call, our dispatcher will notify your pre-selected emergency respondents, to have them check on you.

If no respondent can be reached, police units will be dispatched to your home.

This program is provided at no cost to the participant.

Notification at least 12 hours in advance must be given if you will not be home for our call. Multiple false alarms may result in termination of your participation in this program.
